This is the website for the course An Invitation to Analytic Combinatorics in Several Variables that was delivered remotely at ALEA Days 2022.
The slides for Lecture 1 are here
The slides for Lecture 2 are here
It is possible to solve all problems by hand. However, I recommend using a computer algebra system to help with the calculations (and test your formulas). A Sage notebook to help with the calculations can be found here (or as a static HTML file here).
Run the Sage notebook in your browser (after some setup time) here.
The answers are given in this Sage notebook (which can also be viewed in this static HTML file).
Local TAs: In addition to my virtual support during the exercise session, Linxiao Chen, Ariane Carrance, Paul Melotti, and Joonas Turunen provided in-person help to participants at the CIRM during the exercise session. Thanks to all of them!
The material in this course is covered in detail in An Invitation to Analytic Combinatorics: From One to Several Variables by S. Melczer, Springer Texts & Monographs in Symbolic Computation, 2021.
Contact me if you would like to read the draft manuscript for Analytic Combinatorics in Several Variables: Second Edition when it is ready in a couple of months.
